Suicide Prevention Services (SPS)
When Suicide Prevention Services (SPS) was incorporated in 1998, the intention was to change the focus of treatment from crisis-oriented reactions to early identification, early intervention, and massive public awareness and education. This goal is still validated by all public health practitioners as best practices to complete the continuum of care needed to prevent suicide. Through innovative prevention, intervention and postvention services, SPS strives to revolutionise efforts in suicide prevention and put an end to this preventable tragedy.
