Keep hope alive during these darkest days

A special appeal to help those at risk of or bereaved by suicide during Covid19.

Darkness into Light, proudly supported by Electric Ireland, is postponed. Without the funds raised by this event, all of Pieta’s services are now facing an immediate and devastating financial crisis. More than 80% of our funds come from the public, and we need you to help us today to keep our lifesaving services available to those who need them most, especially during these darkest days.

We offer three main services:

Prevention Service

This is delivered through our Resilience Academy, a six week evidence-based programme aimed at equipping students with the tools for emotional resilience.

Intervention Service

This includes one-to-one therapy to rebuild the hope and resilience of those who are suicidal or self harming and provide them with the ability to deal positively with the issues affecting them.  We also operate a 24/7 helpline and text service staffed by fully qualified therapists.

Bereavement Service

This involves working with people that have been affected by suicide.  Our Suicide Bereavement Counselling services provide free counselling, therapy and support to individuals, couples, families and children.  All therapy is carried out by specially trained Bereavement Liaison Officers and offers support whether in the home or at one of our 15 centres.

A big thank you to our Supporters

The real heroes who are kindly helping us achieve our goal
