On Saturday, May 2nd, Paula and her fantastic team at Cantillon’s Maxol Carrigaline came together to host a brilliant community fundraiser in support of Pieta ahead of Darkness Into Light 💡
The team served up delicious homemade cakes and refreshing lemonade, while also running hamper giveaways and plenty more activities to encourage donations.
The sense of community on the day was incredible, with great support and kindness shown by all who attended.

Team spirit in action - SPAR Mount Oval
A big shoutout to our fabulous team at Cantillon’s SPAR Mount Oval for their fantastic efforts in support of Pieta.
The team did an amazing job running hamper giveaways and bucket donations throughout the past few weeks helping to raise both funds and awareness for Pieta.
Moments like these really highlight the strength of teamwork and community spirit, and we’re so proud of the effort put in by the SPAR Mount Oval team.

Fundraising in the Forecourt - Maxol Ballinrea
Pedal for Pieta - SPAR Little Island
On Thursday, April 30th, our team at SPAR Little Island came together to Pedal for Pieta 💛
From 6am to 6pm, our incredible team took on a 12-hour cycling challenge, showing determination, energy, and team spirit every step (and pedal!) of the way. It was a fantastic opportunity to bring everyone together, not just as colleagues, but as a united group committed to making a difference.
The atmosphere throughout the day was full of positivity and support, with customers and the local community cheering us on. To add to the occasion, we were delighted to offer free ice creams for two hours, generously donated by Smooch Ice Cream.
We’re so proud of everyone who took part and contributed, whether by cycling, supporting, or donating.

Support our walk to help stop suicide
On Saturday, 9th of May, we’ll be taking part in Darkness Into Light 2026. This is a walk that holds deep meaning for so many people, us included.
We’re walking to show support for those who are struggling right now, to honour those we’ve lost, and to help ensure Pieta can continue to be there for people when they need support most.
Every step we take is for someone who may feel unseen, unheard, or overwhelmed. It’s our way of saying, “You are not alone. Help is available. There is always light, even when it’s hard to see it.”
If you’re in a position to support our walk, please know that every single euro helps Pieta continue to answer the call and guide people towards hope at some of the darkest moments of their lives.
