On Saturday 9th May I’m doing Darkness Into Light.
I’m walking for my little sister Heather — she was a light to so many (and would absolutely still be asleep at sunrise, needing a gallon of coffee and a cigarette before speaking to anyone).
Grief is hard, but so is getting up and keeping going - and somehow we do it anyway. Bit by bit, step by step.
This walk is about that - showing up, looking out for each other, and remembering that there is support when it’s needed most. And when loss does happen, Pieta are there for the people left behind, helping them find a way through it.
