Support my walk to help stop suicide

On Saturday, 9th of May, I’ll be taking part in Darkness Into Light 2026. This is a walk that holds deep meaning for so many people, myself included.

I’m walking to show support for those who are struggling right now, to honour those we’ve lost, and to help ensure Pieta can continue to be there for people when they need support most.

Every step I take is for someone who may feel unseen, unheard, or overwhelmed. It’s my way of saying, “You are not alone. Help is available. There is always light, even when it’s hard to see it.”

If you’re in a position to support my walk, please know that every single euro helps Pieta continue to answer the call and guide people towards hope at some of the darkest moments of their lives.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of this and for supporting me along the way.

My Updates

My soulmate, our world Conal

It was the 22nd of January @ 3pm I knew something was wrong, we couldn't reach you by phone, our little man had not been collected. I knew. 3pm on the 23rd of January the gardai came to announce they found you. That moment I broke in my Dad's arms and the rest is a blur. From that day on our lives changed forever and it all changed in a very short period of 24 hours.
Just to give you a bit of context, Conal always had issues with depression and had previously had suicidal thoughts. If had not been for the help of Pieta house on those occasions, I do believe we could have lost him sooner.
Also Pieta helped me with coping trauma that came afterwards and advised me on the best way to tell our 6 year old son that his daddy passed away. No parent is prepared for that, it was like ripping my heart out. There was times where I didn't know what to do, was I doing wrong or was I doing right. Pieta held my hand and looked after me.

It such a lovely sentiment darkness into light and a great charity to support. Remember they are not funded by our government but our state run mental health services depend on them greatly to help with people with mental health issues.
