I'm supporting Darkness Into Light 2025 to raise vital funds for Pieta and people affected by suicide and self-harm. I am doing a 500metre swim from darkness into light in Lough Derg, Youghal Quay, Nth Tipp.

A €24 donation could help answer two calls to Pieta's 24-hour Crisis Helpline for someone in suicidal distress. You can help Pieta to save lives.

PreDawn Sacred Swim Gathering
An orange glow gently tempered the deep navy sky as dawn stretched her self in preparation for the sunrise... Candles lined the Quay while music wafted across the glass-calm waters ['you raise me up...'] ... and gradually one by one the swimmers graced the ladders and steps, lowering themselves in to the lake waters... Darkness Into Light 2025 was underway... An hour later with warm cuppas in hand we all chatted & photographed & celebrated life & each other & above all , we celebrated an open, love-filled honouring of the deaths by suicide & we , thru our presence leaned in to our shared passion to all that we can to erase this cause of death.
