Welcome Dawn on the Water - Sail Darkness into Light
Wow, this is the fourth year of "Sail Darkness into Light", an initiative I am proud to have introduced in 2022 and I’m grateful for Irish Sailing’s national backing of this initiative, the partnership formed with Pieta, the support of my club RIYC, all Dun Laoghaire clubs and many many clubs nationally.
2023 saw 130 boats; 2024 saw 175 boats.
2025...how big can we go! Greeting the dawn on the water is a very special experience and what a way to support amazing charity Pieta. Come join us ⛵️ 💛
Supporting Darkness Into Light 2025, helps raise vital funds for Pieta and people affected by suicide and self-harm.
85% of Pieta's funding comes from fundraising events like Darkness Into Light, which is proudly supported by Electric Ireland.
