Support my walk to help stop suicide

On Saturday, 9th of May, I’ll be taking part in Darkness Into Light 2026. This is a walk that holds deep meaning for so many people, myself included.

I’m walking to show support for those who are struggling right now, to honour those we’ve lost, and to help ensure Pieta can continue to be there for people when they need support most.

Every step I take is for someone who may feel unseen, unheard, or overwhelmed. It’s my way of saying, “You are not alone. Help is available. There is always light, even when it’s hard to see it.”

If you’re in a position to support my walk, please know that every single euro helps Pieta continue to answer the call and guide people towards hope at some of the darkest moments of their lives.

Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, for being part of this and for supporting me along the way.

My Updates

Looking forward

May 9th is just around the corner and I find myself thinking about what this walk really represents.

We all struggle. Every single one of us, in ways we don’t always show or speak about. And yet somehow, asking for help still feels hard. The stigma around mental health is real, and it stops people reaching out at the moments they need it most.

But help is available. Pieta is there, free of charge, for anyone who needs it. No referral, no waiting list, just a hand reaching back when you reach out.

Breaking that stigma starts with conversations like this one. With walks like this one. With each of us being willing to say, it’s okay not to be okay, and it’s okay to ask for help.
See you on the other side of the sunrise. 💛

Thank you!

I genuinely did not expect to reach €500, and I am sitting here feeling so overwhelmed with gratitude.

Every single person who donated chose to show up for something that matters deeply. And that means more to me than I can put into words.

It’s hard to carry something heavy and not quite have the language for it. To feel like the world is moving around you while you are just trying to hold yourself together. Every euro you’ve contributed allows Pieta to continue to answer the call when someone reaches out, helpless but looking for something to hold onto. Pieta helps guide people towards hope at some of the darkest moments of their lives. That is not a small thing. That is everything.

From the bottom of my heart, thank you. For seeing this walk, for sharing it, for giving whatever you could. I will be carrying each of you with me on May 9th as I walk from the darkness into the light. 💛

My reason

This year I’m walking in solidarity with everyone who has ever struggled in silence.

I walk because mental health support changed my life in ways I never expected. I walk because I suffered from chronic sickness which impacted my life.

I walk for everyone who is still in the dark, who is carrying something they haven’t been able to name yet, and who needs to know there is a way through.

I walk because Pieta’s services being free means nobody has to wait until they have reached rock bottom before they can ask for help. And I walk because one sunrise can remind us that light always comes.
However much the darkness may consume, small consistent steps can lead us into the light.

Thank you to my Sponsors
