I’m setting up this fundraiser for Pieta House because this isn’t just a cause to me — it’s my life.When I was 11 years old, I lost my older brother to suicide. That’s something that never leaves you. As the years went on, I also lost my cousin and a few very close friends the same way. Each loss hits just as hard, and each one leaves you wondering if something — anything — could have helped.
That’s why this means so much to me.
Pieta’s helpline is there for people in their darkest, most overwhelming moments. It’s a voice on the other end of the phone when someone feels like they’ve no one left to turn to. And sometimes, that one conversation can be the difference.
All I want to do is raise funds to help keep that support there — to help someone who feels stuck, lost, or alone to know that they’re not.
Because I know what it’s like to lose someone… and if this can help even one person stay, then it’s worth everything.
