Terenure College Darkness into Light 2026
We wish to invite you to our annual Darkness into Light walk. We hope you and your families will join with us in the College at sunrise on Saturday May 9th in this global act of solidarity for people affected by suicide and self-harm. This is the fifth time this event will happen on the Terenure College grounds.
Since 2022, the Terenure College Community have raised almost €85,000 through our Darkness into Light walk. Thank you so much for your generosity to date. On Saturday May 9th please help us to continue to raise awareness, hope and funds for Pieta House. Please donate using our fundraising link. All are welcome to join with us in Terenure College at sunrise on Saturday May 9th. There will be an option to complete a 5km or 2.5km walk. Parking will be available in the College yard from 3.45am. Please note the avenue will be closed to traffic from approximately 4.20am to facilitate the safe crossing of the avenue by walkers. After the walk please join us for tea, coffee and refreshments under the arches beside the College Chapel. More information will be shared to all registered for our event closer to the date.
Every day, people find themselves in moments of deep distress. They feel overwhelmed, isolated, or unsure where to turn. Pieta is there for them, offering free, professional support at a time when it matters most.
Events like Darkness Into Light are vital. Around 80% of Pieta’s funding comes from public fundraising, including this event, proudly supported by Electric Ireland. This fundraising helps keep Pieta’s suicide and self-harm prevention services free and accessible for anyone who needs them, anywhere in Ireland.
By donating to my fundraiser, you are helping to ensure that someone in crisis can reach a trained therapist, be listened to, and feel less alone in that moment.
A €24 donation could help answer two calls to Pieta's 24-hour Crisis Helpline, moments that can make a real difference and even save lives.
Thank you so much for supporting me and for helping Pieta continue this life-saving work.
